Your Work Surface
The best work surface is slanted and not flat. On
a flat surface, the paper has to be canted (turned at an angle). If you
are right handed, it is always best to work with the paper straight up
and down. You have more control and you can see your work without the distortion
of looking at it obliquely. A lap board propped against a desk or table
makes an excellent work surface.
