Jim's Calligraphy Tip o' the Day

Here is a short but useful tip:
Always use a piece of paper between your hand and the paper that you're writing on. Oil can transfer from your hand and make the pen skip. A piece of paper under your hand will stop this from happening. I prefer to use a piece of heavy weight paper such as watercolor paper approximately 8 inches wide by 5 inches tall under my hand.
